How the Coin Spin minigame works

Coin Spin (internal name CoinTurn) is a one-on-one minigame: a Mii spins a coin, you call Heads or Tails before it settles, and a correct call wins a prize.

Each spin, the game does a weighted roll to decide how to bias the coin, then applies that as a center-of-mass offset and physically spins it.

RollCoin behaviourRate
PlusOffsetRateCenter of mass shifted one way → lands Heads47.5% (0.475)
MinusOffsetRateShifted the other way → lands Tails47.5% (0.475)
ZeroOffsetRateBalanced coin → stops on its edge5% (0.05)

This roll is independent of your call. The edge landing counts as an automatic win, so whichever side you pick your effective win chance is:

47.5% (your side) + 5% (edge) = 52.5%

So, the game is very slightly in your favor.
